Send Money to Bangladesh
When sending money to Bangladesh, the highest advertised exchange rate does not necessarily produce the highest amount for the recipient. TakaCompare is being built to help people compare the transfer outcome, rather than only the headline exchange rate.
This page does not search providers, rank them, or show a quote. A money transfer to Bangladesh is completed with the provider, not with TakaCompare.

Bangladesh — BDT
Bank deposit, mobile wallet, or cash pickup.
These labels describe a future search. Nothing here is selected, priced, or sent. Choosing a payout method on a real transfer still depends on what that provider supports.
The number that matters
A transfer outcome can move with the provider exchange rate, the transfer fee, the amount being sent, the payout method, a promotion and who is eligible for it, an applicable Bangladesh remittance incentive, and conditions that apply only to that provider.
Final estimated BDT received. That is the taka figure TakaCompare intends to make easier to compare, once verified provider data exists. TakaCompare does not calculate it across providers today.
Start with the reference exchange rate
A reference rate shows currency value. It is not a provider transfer quote, and it is not the amount a family will receive. The rate pages do not search for a money transfer to Bangladesh.
-
USD to BDT
Dollar to taka
A US dollar reference rate, separate from a transfer quote.
-
GBP to BDT
Pound to taka
A British pound reference rate for people checking pounds against taka.
-
SAR to BDT
Riyal to taka
A Saudi riyal reference rate, not a remittance payout.
-
EUR to BDT
Euro to taka
A euro reference rate, wherever those euros are held.
How to send money to Bangladesh
A practical sequence. It is not a recommendation of any company, and it is not a calculation TakaCompare can run for you yet.
-
Choose a legitimate provider
Use a provider you are allowed to send with. TakaCompare does not yet list them.
-
Enter the amount
The fee and the rate can both change with how much you send.
-
Read the rate and the fee
Look at both on that provider’s screen. A strong headline rate can sit next to a fee.
-
Select a payout the provider offers
Bank deposit, a mobile wallet, and cash pickup are not available on every transfer.
-
Check the expected BDT
The figure for the recipient, on that quote, is the one to compare.
-
Review the conditions
A promotion, a new-customer offer, or an incentive may apply only if you qualify.
-
Complete it with the provider
TakaCompare does not complete this step. The provider receives the instruction and completes the transfer.
Ways the money can be received
These are common categories. A provider may support one of them on a given corridor and not the others. This page does not claim which methods are open.
-
Bank deposit
Taka paid into a bank account in Bangladesh. Account details and timing come from the provider’s quote.
-
Mobile wallet
Taka paid into a wallet such as bKash, where that route exists. The bKash guide covers what bKash itself says. It is not a list of providers that can send there.
-
Cash pickup
The recipient collects cash. Locations and identification rules are set by the provider, not by this website.
Bangladesh remittance incentive
An applicable Bangladesh remittance incentive can change the final taka a family receives. Whether it applies, and whether a quote already includes it, depends on the transfer. Those rules are kept in one place: the Bangladesh remittance incentive guide. This page does not restate them.
Why the exchange rate alone can mislead
Hypothetical illustration. The units, fees, and rates below are invented. They are not provider quotes, and they do not say which pattern is usually better.
-
Option A
Headline rate of 120 taka per unit, and a fee of 4 units on a send of 100. Amount converted: 96. Illustrated result: 11,520 BDT.
-
Option B
Headline rate of 118 taka per unit, and no fee on the same send of 100. Amount converted: 100. Illustrated result: 11,800 BDT.
In this made-up pair, the lower headline rate leaves more taka because the fee is not taken. A larger fee, or a wider gap between the two rates, can reverse that. Compare the final estimated BDT on the real quote. Do not treat either column as an offer.
What comparison is being built to show
When verified provider data is available, a comparison is intended to put the transfer outcome in one view, then hand off to the provider the person chooses. That view is not live.

No provider is named here. No price, rank, saving, or delivery time is shown, because TakaCompare does not have verified comparison data yet.
-

The company offering that transfer, named only when the data is verified.
-
Estimated BDT received
The taka figure for that amount and payout, as supplied for comparison.
-
Transfer fee
What is charged on that send, kept separate from the headline rate.
-
Transfer rate
The provider’s rate on that quote, which can differ from a reference rate.
-
Payout method
How the recipient is paid on that option.
-
Delivery
An estimate only where the provider actually supplies one.
-
Eligibility
Promotion and customer conditions that change who can use the offer.
-
Freshness and handoff
When the data was updated, and a continuation to complete the transfer with the provider. TakaCompare still would not hold the money.

Questions
What should I compare when sending money to Bangladesh?
The final estimated BDT, together with the provider’s rate, the fee, the amount, the payout method, and any promotion or incentive you actually qualify for. The advertised exchange rate is only one of those pieces.
Is the highest exchange rate always the best transfer?
No. A higher headline rate can still leave less taka once a fee or a narrower payout choice is included. The illustration above is a made-up example of that arithmetic, not a market survey.
How can I know how much BDT the recipient will receive?
From the provider’s own quote at the moment of payment. TakaCompare does not yet calculate that figure across providers. A reference rate on this website is a currency conversion, not that quote.
Can money be sent to a bank account or mobile wallet?
Both are common payout categories, and so is cash pickup. Availability depends on the provider and the corridor. This page does not say which routes are open.
Does TakaCompare transfer the money?
No. TakaCompare is a pre-launch comparison and referral project. It does not receive, hold, or transfer customer funds. The provider completes the transfer.
Are TakaCompare’s currency rates provider transfer rates?
No. The rate pages show a reference exchange rate from ExchangeRate-API. They are not remittance quotes, and they are not the rate a provider will apply to a transfer.
