Islami Bank SWIFT Code (Bangladesh)
Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC publishes a bank-level SWIFT code on its Contact Us page. The same bank also publishes different eleven-character SWIFT codes on some branch pages. Confirm the receiving-bank instructions before you send.
Bank-published SWIFT/BIC: IBBLBDDH
Which bank this page covers
The current legal name on the bank’s website is Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC (also abbreviated IBBPLC). The bank previously operated under the name Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited. This page is about that Bangladesh Islamic commercial bank. It is not a partnership with the bank, and it is not a list of transfer providers.
General SWIFT/BIC
On its Contact Us page, the bank lists SWIFT : IBBLBDDH with its head-office contact block. That is the general identifier recorded here. For how SWIFT/BIC works on Bangladesh transfers in general, see the Bangladesh SWIFT codes guide.
Branch-specific SWIFT codes
Islami Bank’s branch locator pages can show a SWIFT code field that differs by branch. Those values are eleven characters and include a branch identifier after the eight-character bank prefix. Because the bank publishes more than one code, do not assume IBBLBDDH works for every branch.
Official examples only (not a full directory), checked 17 October 2026:
- Local Office — IBBLBDDH102 on the bank’s Local Office branch page
- Foreign Exchange Corporate Branch — IBBLBDDH109 on the bank’s Foreign Exchange Corporate Branch page
Other branches may list other codes on the bank’s own site. This page does not attempt a complete branch table.
Confirm before you send
Ask the recipient which Islami Bank account and branch should receive the funds, and use the SWIFT/BIC and account details that match the bank’s instructions for that account. Prefer the bank’s official pages or the receiving bank’s written instructions over unofficial code websites. TakaCompare does not verify individual wires.
Other details forms often ask for
- Account name, as held by the bank
- Account number
- Branch name or other local fields the form requires
- Any routing number the bank shows for that branch, when the form asks for it
How this differs from bKash remittance
A SWIFT-addressed bank credit is a bank-account path. A remittance into bKash is a mobile-wallet path and usually does not ask the sender to enter an Islami Bank SWIFT code. What bKash publishes about receiving from abroad is in the bKash guide.
Sending money to Bangladesh?
Knowing the receiving bank’s SWIFT code is only one part of an international transfer. Fees, exchange rates and payout methods can also affect how much money your recipient receives.
What this page will not do
It does not invent branch codes, scrape third-party directories, rank transfer companies, or show live quotes. It does not claim affiliation with Islami Bank. TakaCompare does not receive, hold, or transfer customer funds.
